Faith & Racial Equity
Do you want to address racism in your community, but you don’t know where to begin? Presented through the lens of the Christian tradition, JustFaith Ministries’ Faith & Racial Equity: Exploring Power & Privilege is an eight-session program that awakens individuals and groups to racial injustices within our systems and structures that empower some and oppress others.
Catholic Churches across Southwest Washington are forming groups to go through this program this Fall starting on September 27th. The meetings will occur via Zoom and will start each Sunday at 3pm. The program cost $40 for books and materials.

In their statement on Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Catholic bishops remind Catholics about the call to participate in political life. “In the Catholic tradition,” they write, “responsible citizenship is a virtue, and participation in political life is a moral obligation” (no. 13).
Join Catholics from across Southwest Washington to engage in a four part series about how we all are called to live out our faith in the public square, whether that be through voting or other actions. We will gather via Zoom starting on Tuesday September 29th at 7pm. Please follow the link to sign up and learn more about how to engage your faith in politics.
"We need to participate for the common good. Sometimes we hear: a good Catholic is not interested in politics. This is not true: good Catholics immerse themselves in politics by offering the best of themselves so that the leader can govern." - Pope Francis, 9/16/13
